Weekly Tarot Reading: January 10 to January 16, 2015

The Tarot reading for January 10 through January 16, 2015 promises a sunny outcome provided you have some support in the matter. Effort and even a little sacrifice may be required to reach your end goal, but it's all doable with just a little persistence.

Card 1: Ten of Pentacles—You'll need the safety and security of your past to move into the future. If you're careful and conservative, you'll surely succeed.

Card 2: Ten of Wands—You may find yourself surrounded by oppression, and this oppression may require more of you than you have to give. Even though you may feel stressed and totally overwhelmed, this is not the time to give up. Do what you have to do, not what you want to do, but conserve your energy. More might be coming your way.

Card 3: Ace of Swords—Optimism is a good thing, but being blind is not. Failure is always a possibility so plan for it. This way you'll be ready when something happens. Also remember not to push too hard. There is a time to push and a time to let things happen. Learn to judge the difference.

Card 4: The Chariot—Life right now is a little like a competition, and most competitions require organization, determination, and confidence to win. You'll need all these things now. Be patient, but be ready. You may have to move quickly to achieve victory.

Card 5: Ace of Wands—Passion for new opportunities may have driven you in the past, but this passion may fade shortly. Try to recapture it and take it with you into the future. It may just pay off.

Card 6: Two of Wands—Planning is the key to everything. Take some time to map things out and work to see the big picture before you act. Seeing what is coming is the first step in either avoiding it or taking advantage of it.

Card 7: Justice—You will get what you deserve in the near future, but what you deserve may not be what you want. Things are rebalancing themselves, especially those things involving finance or the law. Truth and justice will win out if you strive for them.

Card 8: The World—Step out of the shadows and look forward to the next cycle of your life. Be aware of global matters and have a more long-range attitude if you want to accomplish your goals. There's more to your plans than what lies right beneath your nose.

Card 9: The Lovers—Some people in your life might describe you as infatuated, even obsessed, with the new. Others see you as dissatisfied with the general way things have been. They might be right.

Card 10: Eight of Cups—You might be hoping to avoid any significant sacrifice in pursuit of your goal, but you also fear this may be impossible. The truth is that how much you are willing to sacrifice will determine exactly how much you gain.

Card 11: The Sun—After some hardship and sacrifice, you will finally enter a period of radiance. Innocence and joy will return to your life and you will be victorious in achieving your goal. Family and friends will want to share in the brilliance.

Weekly Tarot Reading: December 27, 2014 to January 2, 2015

The Tarot reading for December 27th, 2014 through January 2, 2015 encourages patience and understanding. It also promises that if you work hard and make a few touch decisions, you'll be well rewarded. But be prepared to wait.

Card 1: Temperance—You'll want to act with precision this week, so patience will be key. Anxiety will not serve you now, but acting in harmony with the situation will. Learn to wait for the perfect moment.

Card 2: Six of Cups—This week you'll find yourself surrounded by innocent joy. Expect to be reminded of days gone by, but only in the best of ways. You may also require the aid of a joyous person from your past to accomplish your goals.

Card 3: Eight of Pentacles—You'll need to abandon perfection this week and focus on the practical. The two can coexist, but not right now. A lack of finesse isn't always a bad thing. Beware a finicky person who might cause a problem or two.

Card 4: Eight of Cups—Success is certainly possible this week, but not without significant sacrifice. You will have to turn your back on something and never look back if you want to achieve your objective. Look at the situation carefully before deciding if the sacrifice is worth it.

Card 5: Queen of Swords—Past ideas regarding independence are still clinging to the present situation. These ideas may still be useful, but only if they are used without regard to emotion. On another note, the influence of someone strong and independent may finally be fading.

Card 6: Knight of Wands—Ambitions are good, especially if they become your reality. Visualize what you want to accomplish and you are one step closer to getting what you want. Ignore the naysayers.

Card 7: Queen of Wands—A situation or cause may inspire you to act sooner than you had anticipated. Don't be afraid to enlist the aid of someone who knows how to get things done. This action may inspire others around you.

Card 8: Wheel of Fortune—It is important that you appear as if you are aware of and planning for the inevitable change that's heading your way. Show those around you that you take responsibility for your own life. Be willing to take a chance and it will surely pay off.

Card 9: King of Swords—Others may see you as powerful due to your knowledge of the rules and laws that govern the situation. Some may think your head is in the clouds, but others will recognize the value of brainstorming.

Card 10: You might hope you can approach the situation with spontaneity and enthusiasm, but you also fear that you might be a little too impulsive for the situation. Don't be afraid to let go, but keep your eyes on the prize.

Card 11: The outcome will be full of nothing but a sense of satisfaction and completion. Hard work and careful planning will eventually pay off. But don't get too comfortable. An important date is on the horizon.

Tarot Decks: 22 Arcani i Cani del Mondo

The Tarot deck referred to as 22 Arcani i Cani del Mondo (translated as 'dogs of the world') features a different dog breed from around the world on each of the twenty-two cards. Produced by Menegazzi Osvaldo of Il Meneghello, this deck was created and released in 1990, when only two thousand decks were produced. Each deck is numbered, and no more than the original two thousand were ever created.

22 Arcani i Cani del Mondo features the twenty-two cards of the Major Arcana. All are printed in black and white on cream colored stock. At 3.5 inches wide and 5 inches high, this deck is one of the larger Tarot decks out there, but it is still comfortable to use. It's not typically enlisted during readings, however, because it is not a fully deck. Though some combine the twenty-two cards with the Minor Arcana of another deck, most choose to use this deck for display purposes only. It is mostly of interest to Tarot collectors and enthusiasts, not your average Tarot reader.

Tarot Decks: 22 Arcani I Gatti Buffi

The Tarot deck referred to as 22 Arcani I Gatti Buffi (translated as 'the funny cats') is the second of two cat-themed decks produced by Menegazzi Osvaldo of Il Meneghello. I Gatti Buffi is the larger of the two, measuring five inches high, and is printed on whiter card stock than its smaller cousin. Released in 1990, only 2000 copies of this rare deck were produced. All are numbered and signed.

While the cats on the smaller deck are more regal and sophisticated, the cats decorating I Gatti Buffy are funnier, giving the deck a lighter feel. These cats come across as playful, even mischievous, bringing a sense of fun to the Tarot.

Despite its cute appearance, this Tarot deck is not typically used for Tarot readings because it contains only the twenty-two cards of the Major Arcana. Its really more designed for Tarot collectors or anyone who loves cats, but it can be used for readings if combined with the Minor Arcana from another deck.
